Since its founding in 1884, Breitling has maintained a close relationship with professional chronographs and aviation. Its modern mechanical chronograph legacy provides the perfect backdrop for an unexpected encounter with Astro Boy, the beloved creation of Japanese manga pioneer Osamu Tezuka.

The Ref. AB01476A1I1X1 brings Swiss watchmaking and Japanese pop culture together through a striking yellow dial contrasted by three dark chronograph registers. At 9 o’clock, a miniature illustration of Astro Boy in flight adds a playful, nostalgic touch to the otherwise technical composition.

The stainless-steel case features a robust rotating bezel and is paired with a black strap. Inside beats the manufacture Breitling Calibre 01, a COSC-certified automatic chronograph movement offering approximately 70 hours of power reserve.

The surprise continues through the sapphire crystal caseback, where Astro Boy playfully peeks out beneath the movement. More than a character-themed timepiece, this collaboration celebrates imagination, childhood memories and the enduring appeal of mechanical watchmaking.
